Matt Bowen is an ASCAP award-winning composer and classically trained violinist based in Los Angeles. His credits include Hulu’s R-rated feature film THE BINGE as well as the sequel, IT’S A WONDERFUL BINGE, the gritty Emmy Award-winning documentary BLOOD ROAD, and the Netflix TV series BEST WORST WEEKEND EVER. Bowen has also teamed up with composer Christopher Lennertz for Amazon’s dark superhero franchise THE BOYS, providing music for episodes of the third season and episodes of the animated anthology series THE BOYS PRESENTS: DIABOLICAL. Most recently they teamed up again to co-score the critically acclaimed spinoff GEN V. In addition to composing, Bowen has contributed as an arranger, orchestrator, and composer-of-additional-music on a wide variety of projects including BAD MOMS, THE WAR WITH GRANDPA, EL CAMINO CHRISTMAS, RIDE ALONG, THE BOSS, AND WEDDING RINGER.
Before pivoting to composing full-time, Bowen worked with record producer Matt Wallace (Maroon 5, Faith No More) and engineered RIAA-certified platinum singles Michael Franti & Spearhead’s “All Rebel Rockers” and O.A.R.’s “All Sides.”
