Bobby Villarreal

BOBBY VILLARREAL is a Los Angeles-based composer, songwriter, and music producer for film & television. His background in pop and hip hop has served his unique record producer-like approach to scoring to picture often blurring the lines between song and score. He most recently scored the first two seasons of the Paramount+ original animated series reboot DORA and is currently composing the score for season 3.

Bobby has also written additional music on ten seasons of the hit DreamWorks animated series Gabby’s Dollhouse on Netflix, and four seasons of the Nickelodeon series Blues Clues & You. His solo credits include the feature thriller Noise In The Middle starring Tara Buck, the Amazon feature thriller Unthinkable starring Vivica A. Fox, the Amazon documentary Cowboys Without Borders and the sci-fi short Sky Fighter starring Erik Palladino.

Born in Houston, Texas, Bobby was drawn to the piano and electric guitar at a young age. A Berklee College of Music alumnus (’13), Bobby apprenticed with several music producers and composers after arriving to Los Angeles. His other credits include writing additional music for the Disney+ series Cars On The RoadNetflix’s crime documentary Trial By Media, the HBO documentary Ernie & Joescore supervising Focus Feature’s London Has Fallen, and programming music for New Line Cinema’s action comedy reboot Shaft. His music can be heard on Paramount+, Disney+ Netflix, NBC, The CW, Amazon, and AMC.

In addition to scoring to picture, Bobby has produced and written songs for pop artists Post Malone, Sirah, and 24hrs among others.
