Andrew Kotatko

Described as “Australia’s pre-eminent music supervisor” by ABC Radio, Andrew Koťátko has 27 years’ professional industry experience in film and television.

Known for his encyclopaedic knowledge of music, Andrew has an innate ability to tap into a filmmaker’s unique cinematic sensibility and offer inspired choices for key musical sequences.

Andrew has worked in close creative collaboration with such internationally renowned filmmakers as: Academy Award winner Jane Campion (The Power of the Dog), Danny & Michael Philippou (Talk To Me), Jennifer Kent (The Babadook), Anne Fontaine (Adore), Goran Stolevski (You Won’t Be Alone), and Russell Crowe (The Water Diviner).

2023 has been a prolific year for Andrew which has seen him curate the soundtracks for A24’s box office hit Talk To Me as well as the drama mini-series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart produced by Made Up Stories for Amazon. Andrew has also been tapped to supervise the upcoming drama thriller The Island from Academy Award winner Pawel Pawlikowski starring Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara.

Some of the composers that Andrew has collaborated with include: Jonny Greenwood (The Power of the Dog), Brian Eno (Ithaka), Angelo Badalamenti (Holy Smoke!), Ludovico Einaudi (The Water Diviner), Jed Kurzel (The Babadook), Piers Burbrook de Vere (Wolf Like Me), Mark Bradshaw (You Won’t Be Alone), Wojciech Kilar (The Portrait of a Lady), Ben Frost (In Her Skin) and Hania Rani (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart).
