Paul Mounsey

Composer Paul Mounsey has written additional music for Oscar nominated composers including Danny Elfman (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Epic, Oz the Great and Powerful, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, and the upcoming Goosebumps), Oscar nominee John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon 1 and 2, Rio 1 and 2, Kung Fu Panda 2, The Lorax, and the upcoming Joe Wright family film Pan), and Henry Jackman (Big Hero 6, Turbo). On his own, he’s scored several episodes of the British travel series Globe Trekker (also known as Lonely Planet), the Brazilian crime-drama series City of Men, a number of British television movies, and numerous film, TV, and theatre projects in Brazil.

Mounsey grew up in Scotland, and studied at Trinity College London. He spent two decades of his adult life in Brazil writing a huge variety of music. His diverse résumé includes writing hit songs for a Mexican boy band and recording the music of indigenous communities in the Amazon rainforest.
